Advisory services for governments and international organizations

We provide advisory services to governments and international organizations on strategies for public policies related to international trade, including trade negotiation processes and the implementation and administration of trade agreements in force. We also provide assistance on:

• Development of public policies: consultancies to governments and international organizations for the implementation of public trade policy measures, taking into account their rights and obligations under international trade agreements and the integration process;
• Preparation of trade negotiations: support services to governments on feasibility studies, sector studies, training of the negotiating team, consultations with the productive sectors and the civil society, mapping of interests, definition of critical paths, development of the negotiation goals, regional coordination, among others;
• Trade negotiations: advisory in the development of positions, negotiating tactics, consultation processes with the private sector and the civil society, as well as the support on issues related to legal review, preparation of procedures and documents for the ratification of agreements and coordination with the main stakeholders;
• Implementation and enforcement of trade agreements: support in the development of institutional strengthening and capacity building , interagency coordination, implementation of international commitments; advice in dispute settlements (investor – state), development of procedures to ensure transparency and monitoring of the commitments with major trading partners, taking advantages of trade agreements to attract investments and promote exports.
